Beeswax Food Wraps with Pinon Pine resin from Jenny Joy’s Soap are eco-friendly and a great way to reduce the use of plastic. We hand harvest the resin and remove the debris so you can create sustainable DIY reusable beeswax food wraps for your friends & family. The wraps are naturally antibacterial and antifungal making them food safe.

This package contains 6 squares. Each formulated square covers one large beeswax wrap approximately 13x14" or several smaller wraps.

For best coverage we suggest using 2 squares per wrap.

All you need to make the wraps is:

*Brush to apply formulated squares once they are melted.

*100% cotton fabric or muslin, Note: Thinner fabric works great for this project.

*An Oven

*Disposable gloves or gently apply the oil of your choice to your hands to make removing excess formula easier. Also, great for your skin!

*Small pot to be used as a double boiler & a recycled glass jar from your kitchen that fits inside.

*Baking Tray to place your wrap on.

*Aluminum foil or baking parchment paper is ideal.

Directions: Place formulated squares in a recycled glass jar and insert into a double boiler. Be sure to place a small trivet inside the double boiler. The trivet will keep the resin from sticking to the bottom of the container and creating clumps. Heat using low temp in a well ventilated area. Stir the formula frequently with a disposable wooden chopstick or craft stick. Once the formula is melted you can begin the process of brushing it on the fabric. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place the fabric on the lined tray and begin coating it with the melted formula. Once the fabric is covered, place in an oven at 200 degrees for 2-3 minutes or less. When completely melted, remove from the oven, carefully turn the fabric and re-coat again. Repeat the heating process in the oven then remove and hang to air dry with clothes hangers or similar.

When cooled fold and place in your kitchen drawer for use.

Wash with cold water and a gentle dish soap between uses. Rinse and hang to dry for the next time you need a wrap.
