Welcome to Jim Hinckley's America

I was first introduced to Jim at a Route 66 Association meeting along with a handful of other citizens from our area. They had all come together with a common goal which was to find ways to promote our little “Route 66” town so that the hidden treasures of the past could become alive once again. With great invigoration Jim began to share his ideas and inspirations to get Kingman, Arizona back on the “map” again. His warm personality and vigor for life would propel him forward to get the job done. I was invited to a Facebook live meeting along with several other local business owners. We shared our “stories” about the love we have for our community and the businesses we are all so proud to be a part of here.

Some of Jim’s philosophy and words are summed up as you’ll read on.

“Route 66 is our primary focus, but this is Jim Hinckley’s America. So, we work to provide everything that a community needs for harnessing the power of Route 66 as a catalyst for revitalization and economic development. Linked with this are projects that provide travelers with tools for planning adventures on the back roads and two lane highways of America.”

“Jim Hinckley’s America was born of an epiphany that occurred in 1990. After years of being told that I had a gift for telling people where to go, the decision was made to do so professionally. It began with the writing of feature articles for various publications, and then books (19 to date). Inspiring adventures was quite satisfying but a day job was needed to support the writing habit.” That’s where Jim began to learn about the power of blogging and the use of social media networking. These tools would enable communities like Kingman, Arizona to get just the lift they need.
